If your center is in another person, you are lost. You suffer from the fear of abandonment and the fear of rejection is what dominates your relationships. You live for others and through them, aware of what they do and say, aware of \u201cwhat they will say\u201d that is so important to you. By placing your center in someone else, you make him responsible for your happiness and you live in terror, aware of what he does, wanting to control him, without giving him freedom.<\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n

You are not authentic.<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/b><\/div>\n
You copy everyone and follow fashions that don't even fit you. You try desperately to fit in, to be liked, to be included. You talk in clich\u00e9s, you do everything you're told and you're what you're supposed to be.<\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n

Your attention is always outside, in there and then.<\/o:p><\/span><\/i><\/b><\/div>\n
You believe that there is something in the future, a set of events, situations and things that will finally make you feel good about yourself and you focus all your energy on achieving that which will finally "confirm" your worth.<\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n

The present becomes only the means to get there. Your sight is focused on the external because when you look inward what you find is a terrible emptiness and, therefore, your motivation is external. There is nothing within you that moves you to do things other than seeking approval and recognition from others.<\/o:p><\/span><\/div>\n
