A man found a butterfly cocoon and took it home with him so he could see the butterfly when it came out.

One day he saw that there was a small hole and then he sat watching for several hours, seeing that the butterfly struggled to make it bigger and be able to get out.

The man saw that the butterfly was struggling hard to be able to pass its body through the small hole, until a moment came when it seemed to have stopped struggling, because apparently it was not progressing in its attempt. It looked like it was stuck. So the good man decided to help the butterfly and with a small pair of scissors cut the side of the hole to make it bigger so that the butterfly could get out of the cocoon. However, when she came out, she had a very swollen body and small, folded wings.

The man expected that the wings would unfold and that the body would contract as it reduced its swelling, but neither happened and the butterfly could only crawl in circles, with its swollen little body and folded wings.

He was never able to fly! What the man, in his kindness, did not understand was that the restriction of the cocoon opening and the struggle required by the butterfly to get out of the tiny hole, was nature's way of sending fluids from the body of the butterfly towards his wings, so that they would be big and strong and then he could fly.

Obtaining freedom and being able to fly was something that could only come after the fight. Sometimes what we need in life is the fight. If we could progress without obstacles, we would become invalids, we would not be able to grow.

How many times have we wanted to take the easy way out of difficulties, trying to use "scissors" to cut down the effort that will lead us to success! Just as gold is refined with fire, only through our efforts and falls will we come out stronger.

Everything has its moment and everything needs its time.

Great thought, right?
