To meditate
Meditating is precisely returning to your center, creating space between you and your mind, becoming the observer of your thoughts and of everything that happens within you.
Meditation is not doing, just being. To meditate is to become the center of the universe, the eye of the cyclone, the detached witness of what is happening.
For thousands of years the great teachers of humanity have proposed meditation as the method to create a center in you.
To be honest
The truth will set you free.
Here is a spiritual discipline that will change your life: Tell the truth and face the consequences. Being radically honest will center you, redefine your life, heal your relationships, and fill you with personal power. Honesty is the remedy for years and years of manipulative games and lies, honesty will bring down the pillars of this hypocritical society that we have overlapped and will open the door to a healthy, fair and balanced society.
– And every time I carry out these actions, a feeling of self-worth grows in me, right?
- That's how it is. A virtuous circle in which you affirm your worth in the present, going inward, facing and confronting what is, your truth, what you really feel and need.
You will realize that all these actions have to do only with you, in the present moment and bring you back. It is not that you are hoping to get somewhere or wanting to become something that you are not already.
– Explain to me about “spiritual discipline”. What does the spiritual have to do with all this? Do you mean the commandments of religion? Aren't you lying?...
– The commandments are precisely for people without a center who need someone to tell them how to behave because they do not trust themselves to distinguish what is correct. A centered person has their attention and their heart to guide their actions.
This has to do with the spiritual because it is a practice that brings you closer to your center: right where the only possibility of making contact with the divine is found. And now that you mention it, religion, as it is now interpreted, takes you away from your center. That is precisely what your religious leaders seek.
– Zaz! You go with that...

– We continue with that, yes. The religious is not spiritual, it is just the opposite.
