Self-esteem: “The Key to Personal Success”
“A boy was with his father on the train. The tour would last a few hours. The father sits back in the seat and opens a magazine to distract himself.
The boy interrupts him by asking, "What's that, Dad?"
The man turns to see what he was pointing at and replies, "It's a farm, son."
When you start reading again, the child asks: "Are we going to get there yet?"
The man replies that there is a long way to go. No sooner had he started looking at his magazine again when another question interrupted him; And so the questions continued, until the father, already desperate and looking for a way to distract the boy, realizes that the world map appears in the magazine; he cuts it into little pieces and gives it to the child, telling him that it is a puzzle and to put it together. Happy sits back in his seat, sure that the child will be entertained all the way.
No sooner has he started reading his magazine than the boy exclaims, "I'm done."
"Impossible! I can't believe it! How so soon?
But there is the perfect world map.
Then the father asks: "How could you put the world together so quickly?"
The son replies: “I didn't look at the world; behind the leaf is the figure of a man; I composed man and the world was fixed”…
And so it is, the individual is concerned with seeing, judging and fixing what is outside of him, when the solution of many problems would be for each person to see and fix the first thing that corresponds to him, which is himself. If everyone did this, the world would be different. At least everyone must do their part.
